Local sports empoyees, young talents from the neighborhood and local kids came together in Brazil the last few months, during the Heroes of the Cruyff Courts project.
Children moving up by being active- that’s what the Cruyff Foundation stands for. And not just literally: kids deserve a chance to develop their personal skills and self-esteem. Heroes of the Cruyff Courts is one of the projects of the Cruyff Foundation that focuses on personal development. Local sport professionals are trained as a coach to involve the young talents of that particular Cruyff Court. These youngsters are stimulated to organize sports projects for local children.
For the Heroes of the Cruyff Courts project we train coaches in the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Argentina, Malaysia, Italy, the Netherlands Antilles, the UK and even in Brazil!
At the Cruyff Court Ermelino Materazzo in Brazil the Heroes of the Cruyff Courts project was realized the last months by a couple of students. The project resulted in a football event for all local kids. It was professional and lots of fun, as you can see on the pictures below.
