“I want to thank you on behalf of my foundation and the entire municipality of Móstoles for ensuring that children have an ideal space to practise sports” Casillas explained.
The former goalkeeper of the Spanish National Team, Real Madrid and Porto, Iker Casillas, opened the Cruyff Court in Móstoles, a free-use football field.
Casillas played with boys and girls of his hometown, in an event that was also attended by the president of the Cruyff Foundation in Spain, Susila Cruyff; the director of the Cruyff Foundation in Spain, Pati Roura; the commercial manager of the Territorial Action Area and Centers of the ”la Caixa” Foundation, Alejandro Fernández; and the mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista.
"I'm very happy. My link with Móstoles is forever. I grew up here. I want to thank you on behalf of my foundation and the entire municipality of Móstoles for ensuring that children have an ideal space to practice sports. Johan Cruyff had a connection with football. He was an innovator and we remember and esteem him for the legacy that he left and that continues with his foundation”, Casillas explained during the event.
