Last week the fourth edition of the Koeman Cup by Fundación Sportium took place, a charity golf and paddle tennis tournament organised by our ambassador, Ronald Koeman.
For the third consecutive year, the Cruyff Foundation was the beneficiary of this charity tournament organised by the current Netherlands national football coach. All the funds raised during this edition, which once again took place at the Club de Golf Barcelona, will go to the sports projects for children with disabilities that the Cruyff Foundation carries out around the world.
Koeman Cup by Fundación Sportium, consisted of two competitions; one golf and one paddle tennis and, was attended by more than 150 participants from different countries with the aim of raising funds and helping to keep the social legacy of Johan Cruyff alive.
Ronald Koeman, ambassador of the Cruyff Foundation: ‘’The spirit of the event is to get together with former colleagues and friends from the world of sport in general to have fun while contributing to a good cause’’.
The event took off on Thursday 18 July with a welcome dinner for the participants and continued on Friday 19 July with the start of the tournament. Once the games were played, the closing lunch was held with the presentation of prizes to the winners of both competitions. Finally, Ronald Koeman himself announced the amount of funds raised for the benefit of the Cruyff Foundation.
