Great news! After a fantastic day at the UK Cruyff Courts 6 vs 6 Championships at Cruyff Court Tottenham Hotspur, the girls and boys team of Cruyff Court Liverpool FC have won the UK Cruyff Courts 6 vs 6 Championship! The girls and boys team from Cruyff Court Everton both have won the Respect Award, during the finals in London this Saturday.

It was a fantastic, sunshiny day with teams from Aberdeen, Liverpool, London and Hamilton competing in the football tournament. These are all cities with at least one Cruyff Court. The Cruyff Courts in the UK and Cruyff Courts 6 vs 6 are possible thanks to the support of the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Cruyff Courts 6 vs 6 tournament is a national football championship for children between the ages of ten and twelve that is organised by young people who participated in Heroes of the Cruyff Courts. The championship takes place on Cruyff Courts across the UK and is organised by children from the local communities. The championship starts with regional qualifying rounds and quarter finals, national semi-finals, and ends with an electrifying final. These finals were third in a row: the past months we already had the Cruyff Courts 6 vs 6 finals in Spain and the Netherlands.

Respect is the central theme of Cruyff Courts 6 vs 6. All participants sign the respect banner, which is a promise to respect the other participants both on and off the field.
