Since 2003 the Johan Cruijff Award is being hand out to the 'Talent of the Year' during the annual Football Gala in the Netherlands. The talent is selected by a jury of footballers, trainers and former footballers and trainers. They're being rated on the fourteen criteria of the 14 rules of Johan Cruyff.
Talents receive a trophy, but also a Cruyff Court on a location they choose. This could be a location which has played an important role in run to their live as professional football player.
